From the Mouths of Babes....

I guess you could say that the kids are reaching a point of new understanding. And they can now say what they are really thinking. It never ceases to amaze me the things they come up with.......
Take this conversation for instance:

McKinnlee: How tall am I?
Gaven: How tall am I?
Luke: Gaven, you are up to McKinnlee's chin
McKinnlee: How tall is Jaycen?
(Luke shows her)
McKinnlee: Jaycen's clear up to my Holy Ghost!

???? Your Holy Ghost??????
Yeah, he's up to her chest. In her chest is her heart. She knows that you feel the Holy Ghost in your heart..... So, Chest = Holy Ghost. (Did you get all of that logic?) Thus, we had a nice talk about how we feel the Holy Ghost in our hearts. But, our hearts and are chest are not the same thing as our Holy Ghost.

Gaven informed us tonight that his "worst" stories are about bouncy balls. (He always has a story to tell us about some bouncy ball, and the moon, and cheese......) And, when asked if he liked to tell us stories-- His reply, "No, Dad, they're my jokes.

And, we can't leave Jaycen out of the blog for the night. Tonight during scriptures we hear this, "BEEP, BEEP, BEEP, BEEP. " All from Jayce. He turned a laundry basket upside down, and had a stack of puzzles. He'd hold them up to the basket, say "BEEP" and then put them back. Do you know what that boy was doing-- and on the sabbath? SHOPPING-- (I'm so proud, I've taught him well.) The laundry basket was his scanner. He was sitting there scanning his items.

So, quite a few laughs this week. They definitely keep life interesting.

I love the Holy Ghost story! And the "jokes" and the shopping are pretty cute too. I so wish that I could come visit you, but I don't think I can save enough money by March 21st and even if I can by then plane tickets will probably be more expensive. Anyway, don't plan on it, but maybe I can find another time to visit later this year.
